Product description

Inorganic chemical compound from the chloride group, a salt of hydrochloric acid and ammonia. It occurs naturally as the rare mineral salmiak native.

Application

It is used as an electrolyte in dry galvanic cells. It is also used as a flux in soldering, galvanising and tinning. It is also used as an expectorant medicine (a component of anise drops), an additive to cattle feed, a component of shampoos, and is used in food products as a leavening and preserving agent (E510).
