- Water-soluble anionic polyelectrolyte polymers, by-products generated in the production of wood pulp by the sulphite pulping process. They occur as free-flowing powders.
- Application
- Sodium lignosulphonate is used in the food industry as a defoaming agent in paper production and in adhesives for items in contact with food. It has preservative properties and is used as a component of animal feed. It is also used in construction, ceramics, mineral powder, the chemical industry, the textile (leather) industry, the metallurgical industry, the oil industry, refractory materials, rubber vulcanisation, and organic polymerisation.
